The Smart Disney Snack Plan: Pack This, Buy That

Best Snacks to Pack for Disney Parks (Plus the Treats You Shouldn’t Skip)

If you’re anything like me and highly food-motivated, you probably follow all the posts about the must-try snacks at each Disney park. I follow Disney food pages, save Disney food photos, and even map out snack stops in between rides before we ever arrive.

That said…Disney snacks are delicious, filling, often not the healthiest, and they add up quickly. So I like to strike a balance between enjoying the iconic treats in the parks and bringing some budget-friendly, healthier options to keep us going between meals.

I’m firmly in the it’s vacation, we’re splurging a little camp. If there’s a donut, an ice cream bar, or a specialty drink we can’t get at home, we’re getting it. But we also don’t need to stop at every snack cart we pass. A little planning helps us enjoy the fun treats without overdoing it (or overspending).

Our “From Home” Snack Strategy

On our arrival day, I schedule a Walmart delivery to our resort. This is helpful for several reasons:

  • We order breakfast items like yogurt and bananas so we don’t have to buy breakfast at the resort or in the parks.

  • It saves both time and money in the mornings and helps us take full advantage of early entry and shorter ride wait times.

  • We stock up on easy, energy-boosting snacks for long lines or mid-afternoon meltdowns—without needing to spend $8 on a frozen lemonade every time (though we’ve definitely done that, too).

Our go-to park snacks to order ahead are:

  • Belvita Breakfast Biscuits

  • Nature Valley Granola Bars

  • Disney-themed fruit snacks

  • Apples and other easy grab-and-go fruit

We keep these in our park bag throughout the week. They’re perfect for quick resets, and if we have extras at the end of the trip, they’re easy to toss into our carry-on for the flight home.

Now for the fun part…the snacks I will always get or are on my list to try in each park:

Any Joffrey’s Coffee Stand: Shakin’ Jamaican Cold Brew and a Sprinkle Donut

EPCOT:

-Viking Coffee and a triple chocolate cookie from Norway

-Grand Marnier Slushie from France

Animal Kingdom:

-Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bar from Terra Treats – SO GOOD –  I got one for the family last time and next year I will get my own because I didn’t want to share.

-Dole Whip Float from Tamu Tamu – you can get this with or without rum – very refreshing.

Magic Kingdom:

-Cheeseburger Spring Roll Snack Cart from Adventureland (There’s a pizza version too)

-Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern (Haven’t tried this one but I’ve heard good things)

-Cold Brew Float from Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Cookies – ice cream and coffee? Yes please!

Hollywood Studios:

-Totchos from Woody’s Lunch Box – the breakfast version with sausage gravy was AMAZING.

-Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie from the Trolley Car Cafe – I haven’t tried this one yet but it’s on my list

Side note: Here are some recommended snacks that I thought did not live up to the hype:

-Pretzel Bread Pudding from Sommerfest in Germany @ Epcot

-Lunch Box Tarts from Woody’s

-Maple Popcorn from Germany @ Epcot – similar to kettle corn, just ok in my opinion
